Introduction
The 5530 was positioned at the absolute low-end of the Multistation line.
The system unit has the same compact form factor as the 5540.
All models used the i8086 CPU and a 2DD floppy drive to reduce costs. Still,
when compared to offerings from competitors, the specs pale in comparison to
the price.
It seems that the G1 model has been adapted for use as a 5250 terminal.
Other models possibly came with preinstalled software such as word processors
and spreadsheets.

Memory
The memory above 1 MB can be used only as a RAM disk.
Software
Since the floppy drive is a 2DD-only type, the software for the
5540 cannot be used as-is. A special version of the OS
and other software was available.
