PCI Error Code Format

Error codes are displayed on the screen as eight or sixteen digits:

For example, PCI error code 005A0210VVVIIII decodes as:

Run PCI Utility or MicroChannel Change Configuration Utility to change system resource allocation.

If S = 0, replace system board.

1. One or more PCI add-in devices appear(s) to have been removed since the last execution of POST. This could be due to a catastrophic failure of the PCI device rather than its actual physical removal. 
PCI device(s) added since last power up:
PCI vendorID=xxxx, deviceID=xxxx in slot x
1. One or more PCI add-in devices has been added since the last execution of POST. It may have been moved from another slot. Thisis not an error. The device was enabled and had resources assigned. 
Unable to assign requested resources:
PCI vendor ID=xxxx device ID=xxxx in slot x Block
1. A requested PCI resource (from the PCI Device Configuration) could not be assigned as requested due to a conflict with a non-PCI deviceor to a conflict with another requested PCI resource.
