COLCRT(1,C) AIX Commands Reference COLCRT(1,C) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- colcrt PURPOSE Provides virtual line feeds. DESCRIPTION The colcrt command provides virtual half-line and reverse line feed sequences for terminals without such capability, and on which overstriking is destructive. Half-line characters and underlining (changed to dashing '-') are placed on new lines in between the normal output lines. FLAGS - Suppresses underlining; useful for previewing boxed tables from tbl. -2 Causes all half-lines to be printed, effectively double-spacing the document. Useful when printing output with subscripts and superscripts on a line printer, where half lines normally do not appear.
