READDOS.TXT - BookManager (TM) READ/DOS Version 1.2 Product Information File ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- You must read the SOFTCOPY.AGR file before using any IBM softcopy information. Please consult BookManager READ/DOS: Installation, Getting Started, and Customization (SX76-0148-0). 290K of free memory is the minimum memory required to utilize BookManager READ/DOS. The BookManager user may experience slow response time when operating in a constrained memory environment or performing a substantial amount of I/O with old I/O technology. The more memory the product has available the better the performance will appear. If creating notes in books that reside on a floppy drive or a LAN, make sure to include a -newnotefiledirectory statement in your READ/DOS profile. This statement tells READ/DOS where to create the file containing the note instead of using the current directory.
