TECHNICAL INFORMATION SPECIFIED OPERATING ENVIRONMENT MACHINE REQUIREMENTS: The PS/2 486SX/25, 486/33 and 486/50 Processor Upgrade Options can be installed in PS/2 Model 90 XP 486 and 95 XP 486 systems only in the specified processor complex slot on the system board. When upgrading from the PS/2 486SX/25 with either the 486/33 or 486/50 Processor Upgrade Option, system memory must consist of matched pairs since those processor cards require interleaved memory. When upgrading to the 486SX/25, 85 nanosecond memory modules are not supported. For further information on machine requirements, refer to the following Product Announcements: o 190-175, dated October 30, 1990 o 190-176, dated October 30, 1990 o 190-157, dated September 11, 1990 o 190-158, dated September 18, 1990 o 191-096, dated June 11, 1991 o 191-195, dated October 17, 1991 o 191-194, dated October 17, 1991. PROGRAMMING REQUIREMENTS: The following operating systems and extensions support the PS/2 486SX/25, 486/33 and 486/50 Processor Upgrade Options. o OS/2 Standard Edition (OS/2 SE) Version 1.30.1 o OS/2 Extended Edition (OS/2 EE) Version 1.30.1 o OS/2 Version 2.0 (when available) o OS/2 LAN Server Version 1.30.1 o DOS Versions 3.3, 4.0 and 5.0 o AIX PS/2 Version 1.2.1 o IBM 4680 Operating System Versions 2 and 4.
