IBM PS/2 486SX/25 PROCESSOR UPGRADE PROMOTION Contents Announcement Letter Number 391-167 dated October 17, 1991 US - Last Revised on October 17, 1991 Brief Description of Announcement, Charges, and Availability Eligible customers can enhance their qualifying system by ordering an IBM Personal System/2 (R) (PS/2 (R)) 486SX/25 Processor Upgrade at the special introductory price of $1,000 -- a savings of $845 off the single unit purchase price. Customers who have purchased or ordered the following models can participate: IBM PS/2 Models 90 XP 486 (8590-0G5 and 8590-0G9) and 95 XP 486 (8595-0G9 and 8595-0GF). Processor Upgrade orders must be placed on or before April 17, 1992, and shipped on or before July 18, 1992, to receive this introductory price. The Date of Installation, as defined in the IBM Customer Agreement, must occur on or after October 17, 1991, but no later than July 31, 1992. All customer types can participate in the promotion. Educational institutions qualifying for National Education Pricing (NEP) can participate in this promotion. This purchase cannot, however, be made under a special bid commitment. On the other hand, customers with volume discount commitments can choose to take advantage of this promotion and their volume bid discount. Products purchased under this offering will count toward volume discount commitments. End-user certification, as defined in the IBM Customer Agreement, applies to this promotion.
