RV boards.
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix this error, check the pins of the large connectors on the GE and RV
boards, make sure they are not bent or broken.
-
If these remedies do not fix this error, there is a failure in one of
the Microcode RAM parts (locations U36, U38, U40, U42, U44) associated
with the address lines on the GE board.

If these remedies do not fix this error, there is a failure in one of
the Microcode RAM parts (locations U36, U38, U40, U42, U44) associated
with the data lines on the GE board.
|
11 |
Hardware failure detected in FIFO test (FIFO)
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix this error, check the pins of the large connectors on the GE and RV
boards, make sure they are not bent or broken.
-
If these remedies do not fix this error, there is a failure in one of
the FIFO parts (locations U47, U48, U49, U50, U51) on the GE board.
|
12 |
Microcode based Data RAM test failed (DRAMD2)
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix the problem, re-check seating of large cable connecting the GE and
RV boards.
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix this error, check the pins of the large connectors on the GE and RV
boards, make sure they are not bent or broken.
-
If these remedies do not fix this error, there is a failure in one of
the Data and/or Microcode RAM parts and/or HQ1 chip on the GE board.
|
13 |
Hardware failure detected in CPU to Data RAM DMA test (DMA1-AT
writes)
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix the problem, re-check seating of large cable connecting the GE and
RV boards.
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix this error, check the pins of the large connectors on the GE and RV
boards, make sure they are not bent or broken.
-
Check the revision level of the GE board. It should be Rev. A-C or
later.
-
If these remedies do not fix this error, there is a failure in either
the AT interface or the HQ1 chip. The HQ1 chip performs the actual DMA
function on the GE bus. The AT interface uses the x86 STRINIO command
to transfer blocks of data from host CPU memory to the GE bus
(ISA-only).
|
14 |
Hardware failure detected in Data RAM to CPU DMA test (DMA2
- AT reads)
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix the problem, re-check seating of large cable connecting the GE and
RV boards.
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix this error, check the pins of the large connectors on the GE and RV
boards, make sure they are not bent or broken.
-
Check the revision level of the GE board. It should be Rev. A-C or
later.
-
If these remedies do not fix this error, there is a failure in the AT
interface due to excessive noise in the AT system. This is a
combination of the number of add-in cards in the AT system, the power
supply voltage, and the ability of the power supply to supply
instantaneous current peaks upon demand. The system power supply should
be rated at 5V-25A when a full complement of add-in boards are present
in the AT system. There could also be a failure in the HQ1 chip if both
error 13 and error 14 occurred.
|
15 |
Hardware failure detected in Host to Bitplanes DMA test (REDMA)
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix the problem, re-check seating of large cable connecting the GE and
RV boards.
-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix this error, check the pins of the large connectors on the GE and RV
boards, make sure they are not bent or broken.
-
Check the revision level of the GE board. It should be Rev. A-C or
later.
-
If these remedies do not fix this error, there is a failure in one or
more of the Bitplane VRAMs on the RV, DE, or EV boards.
|
16 |

-
If remedies for error code 4 do not
fix this error, check the pins of the large connectors on the GE and RV
boards, make sure they are not bent or broken.
-
If these remedies do not fix this error, there is a failure in running
Microcode for the FIFO test. This could be a sign of failure of the HQ1
in reading the FIFO.
|

-
If remedies for error code 4 do not fix this error, check the pins of
the large connectors on the GE and RV boards, make sure they are not
