About the Ardent Tool

The original "9595 - Ardent Tool of Capitalism" website was created by Louis F. Ohland III to help all the Micro Channel addicts out there to keep their machines up and running. Louis, the man who had been maintaining the website for some 25 years*, talks about his experience HERE and HERE. A truly remarkable feat!

(* The pages were first published on or around 13 Oct 1998 under the name "Willing Tool of Capitalism" — see THIS newsgroup thread.)

The "MAD Edition" is a direct continuation of Louis' project. Aside from his work, it also features material from other authors and now defunct or no longer maintained PS/2 and MCA-oriented websites. On top of that, the website provides a host of new and original content. It tries to present all this information in a more pleasant and coherent form. The "MAD Edition" was created and is maintained by Tomáš "Major Tom" Slavotínek.
