IBM Personal System/2 Model 35 SX / LS
General information Machine type: 8535 Announce date: June, 1991
Excerpt from the original announcement letter;
"The Personal System/2 (R) (PS/2(R)) Models 35 SX & 35 LS provide a small footprint, low price general business and LAN (Local Area Network) workstation solution. The PS/2 Models 35 SX & 35 LS utilize the 80386SX microprocessor operating at 20MHz with zero to two wait states and has the following integrated functions: parallel port, serial port, pointing device port, video graphics array (VGA 16-bit) port, keyboard port, 1.44MB diskette drive support, Math Co-processor socket and three memory SIMM sockets (two available for memory expansion). The PS/2 Model 35 SX is offered in diskette only (040) and a 40MB (40 million bytes) fixed disk model (043). All models have 2MB's of memory standard on the system board (expandable to 16MB). The Model 35 LS system unit (24X) is shipped with all of the standard features of the Model 35 SX with the following exception. No DASD devices are installed in this medialess system but a 16/4 Token Ring card with RIPL occupies one of the three adapter slots. It is fully upgradable to the Model 35 SX configurations."
