IBM PS/2 (Model 50 Z) - Technical Specifications

IBM Personal System/2 Model 50 Z

General information
Machine type: 8550
Announce date: June 2, 1988

Excerpt from the original announcement letter;
"The new IBM Personal System/2 Models 50 Z will enhance the IBM Personal System/2 Family of desktop systems by offering improved performance and hardfile capacity. The systems are highlighted by the Micro Channel (TM) Architecture with a 10Mhz 80286 16 bit microprocessor, high density memory technology, and a wide range of integrated features. New high speed (85ns) memory will provide zero wait state processor performance and may be upgraded for 2MB of memory on the system board. New 30MB (50-031) and 60MB (50-061) hardfiles provide greater capacity and improved average access time over the 8550-021. These systems maintain compatibility with most PS/2 Model 50 features and Operating Systems."
