J16 Clear CMOS Jumper - CMOS configuration is cleared by switching the jumper from one position to the other. The jumper remains in its new position until the next time you decide to clear CMOS.
U17 Instead of multiple discrete oscillators this planar uses a PLL clock generator (ICDesigns 2028SC-B) to synthesize all required system clocks from a single 14.318 MHz source (Y1). The only exception is the 22.1184 MHz UART clock that is generated by a dedicated oscillator (U26).

The Reply setup program is different. I am still figuring how to LLF SCSI drives. Also, setup takes a while to identify and configure SCSI devices, to include SCSI adapters. I got an IBM SCSI w/cache lit up finally. Ran the IBM diagnostics on it. So I think I can just copy the *.dgs files and try again.

Floppy

Controller supports 1.44 and 2.88 MB floppy drives.

POD Compatibility Issues

I tried to install a FW and a FWSR on my PowerBoard, but I got errors where the setup program claimed the ADF on the options disk was damaged or that the ADF was not found. I took out the 83 MHz POD and used a 486DX4-100 to successfully install a BusLogic BT-646S that had failed before. Also, I had to edit the @0709 ADF because the Reply setup called it @0708 (BT-640). My SWAG is that either a timing or compatibility problem (without interposer) exists!

I ran a POD and L2 256K WB, but I got some lockups under OS/2 (that's ODD) so I pulled the L2 until a future install.
